Communications Specialist (Los Angeles, CA): Responsible for media relations and all outgoing communication for global immigration law firm. Develop effective PR strategies by studying JCS’s business objectives and promotional policies and conducting research on the needs for immigration legal services in various geographic, ethnic and economic communities. Conduct, create and respond to inquiries and requests for information from media, existing and potential individual and corporate clients in the U.S., China and other Mandarin speaking communities, legal professionals and other sources. Build and maintain relationships with media representatives, community representatives, immigration and legal professionals, consumers and public interest groups. Develop and maintain JCS’s social media presence and policies. Research and write timely press releases, fact sheets, FAQs and responses to media inquiries, newsletters, articles, brochures and other print and digital media to be disseminated to existing and potential individual and corporate clients in the U.S., China and other Mandarin-speaking communities. Review and approve advertisements, promotions and marketing materials to ensure marketing campaigns are consistent with JCS’ brand and PR strategies, objectives and promotional policies. Develop media information kits as needed. Organize information seminars and prepare speaking scripts and promotional and informational materials to be used in the seminar. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in communications, literature, public relations or related field and 6 months of experience in job offered or related communications or PR occupation.
